But before you enter, read this…

  • Your story should be unpublished.
  • Your story must not be submitted to any other competition or publication until after June 30th 2017.
  • You can withdraw your story until June 30th 2017. After that, we can’t allow you to withdraw your story, as it may have been shortlisted.
  • You’ll be offered a cash prize if your story is one of our winners or runners up. But please note that this prize is dependent on you giving us the right to publish your story in the 2018 Brighton Prize anthology.

Almost all questions relating to the prize are covered in the terms and conditions. We can’t answer queries that are addressed by the terms and conditions, so make sure you read them.
